“Taine, I…” she whispered.
His face was scrunched in anguish. “I-I don’t wanna l-lose you!”
Tears swelled in Kairi’s eyes. Blood continued to seep through her clothes from the gash across her chest. She grew pale.
“Taine… I’m sorry,” the twelve-year-old girl sobbed. “I c-can’t fight your curse… anymore…”
Taine shook his head violently.
